Every tab,
rescued.
Got them back? Next time you won't have to dig. Tab Lifeboat quietly snapshots every window, tab group and tab every few minutes and keeps the history in storage you own. Crash, bad update or one wrong click: pick a moment and restore it.
No account. No servers of ours. Your tabs stay on your devices and in your own storage.

Sync is not a backup.
Losing a session is rare, until it happens to you. And the tools you trust usually live in the same place that just broke.
Crashes and updates
The browser restarts after an update or a crash and your carefully built session comes back empty.
Tab managers live in the profile
Most session managers store everything inside the browser profile. When that storage gets wiped, your safety net goes with it.
Sync copies mistakes
Close the wrong window or let a sync conflict win, and the loss is faithfully copied to every device you own.
Set it once. Forget it.
Install it, backups start
Snapshots start right away and a backup file lands in your Downloads folder, outside the browser profile. With Pro, backups go to your own Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive or NAS, end-to-end encrypted.
It snapshots quietly
Saved within a minute of every change: every window, tab group and tab. A half-restored session after a crash never overwrites your last good snapshot.
Travel back in time
Pick any moment, see exactly what changed, and restore everything, one window, one group or a single tab.
Built like a backup tool, not a tab organizer.
Version history
Minutes, days or months back. Every snapshot is a moment you can return to.
Backups you own
Stored in your cloud or on your disk, in an open format. If the extension disappears, your data does not.
Private by design
Your browsing never touches our servers. Pro backups are encrypted before they leave your browser, so only you can read them.
Restore exactly what you need
A whole session, one window, a tab group with its name and color, or just that one tab.
Crash-safe by design
Suspiciously small snapshots after a crash are flagged, never treated as your latest good state.
Find it by name or by day

Questions
Can I use Tab Lifeboat today?
Not yet. We are building it now. Join the waitlist and you will hear from us at launch, with the founding price held for you.
Where are my tabs stored?
On your device: inside the browser and in a backup file in your Downloads folder. With Pro, also in your own Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, or your own NAS or Nextcloud via WebDAV, encrypted before it leaves the browser.
Can you see my tabs or browsing?
No. There is no Tab Lifeboat server that receives your tabs. Your snapshots go straight from your browser to your own storage.
How is this different from a tab manager?
Tab managers help you organize. Tab Lifeboat is a backup: automatic, versioned and kept outside the browser profile, so it survives exactly the failures that wipe a tab manager's data.
Why a one-time price?
Your backups live in your own storage, so there is no server bill to pass on to you. You pay once and keep every update in the 1.x line.
